31.01.2008 - INOCULATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST MENINGITIS
Mongolia undergoes at the moment an important epidemic of meningitis. We have decided to inoculate all the persons working in our workroom as well as their families.
During the inoculation
Inoculation

This campaign represents about fifty persons and goods logistics to find the vaccines and bring the concerned persons to the National Infectious diseases Research Center. The mission Has been successfull to the relief of all the families to whom any slight health problem can become dramatic.

The last team of the year has finished its training:

So in 2007 it is 12 persons who found a work in 2007 thanks to their punctuality and their work in our workshop. Thanks to everyone who rely on us... The profits, because there were somecontrary to all expectations, were allocated to the annual payment of the kid's garden fees for 30 children coming from poor families. Furthermore we gave to this kid's garden about 20Kg of fruits a week and also to our workers, in order to fight against malnutrition.

06/05/2007 - END OF THE 1ST TEAM TRAINING
Delivery of a diploma and a sewing machine manually-operated because these women have no electricity at home (they live under a yurt). But there is more, Tuya, the accountant of Mongol Yurt handed them an employment contract with no time limit and a pad of contributor to Social Security.
The emotion of these women, who have never had job, was tangible... And contagious!
The 1st team to be graduated
The 2d team to be trainedtagiaires

So these three pioneers of the first session are going to give to the 2d team of trainees well informed advice in order to make the best out of their own training. The 2 team is quite special because among these 3 trainees there is a girl for whom we moved heaven and earth, until was signed a plea for presidential clemency to make her go out of prison. She was 18 years old, she was 5 months pregnant, she was convicted for robbing 3 € in the pocket of an scatterbrained person and was sentendced with 10 years prison. It was a violence free theft, with no intent and in an out of necessity state.

Thanks to our lawyer and to the Mongolian press who allowed her to go out after 1 year and a half of detention (during which she gave birth to a very nice girl).
Thanks also to Mister Enkhbayar, President of the Mongolian Republic, to have believed in our project of reintegration. Today she is under our responsibility (housing, employment and taining).

06/03/2007 - CREATION OF A WORKSHOP TO HELP UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE
The Ulaan Baatar district of Uliastaï is a very poor district, away from the others, little helped because little known. We decided to create, with the cooperation of the association of district, a workshop for the women of the neighborhood in big difficulty. We shall take 3 trainees paid every 2 months.
The inauguration took place on March 06th, 2007 in the presence of its Excellence the Ambassador of France, the Governor of District and the ex Ministry of Defence (who was also an astronaut in his time)
The official opening of the worshop
Cutting of a yurt inside cotton twill
The first three recruits were able to begin to work as soon as the ceremony ended. At the end of their paid training, they will have a profession and we shall offer them a sewing machine, to be able to work at home.
We shall accompany them in the job-hunting. The project is completely financed by Mongol Yurt and you will have certainly soft elements made by these women.

CAMPAIGN 1 YURT = 5 TREES
For every yurt sold, we transplant 5 trees in regions where the flora has been affected by the thick clouds of white butterflies in 2002 (larvas ate roots and killed trees). This operation takes place with a gap of one year: in spring 2010 we shall plant trees corresponding to our 2009 activity.
It is not only a charity campaign because by protecting and renewing our resources, we guarantee our future activities. On the short-term the price and the quality of the wood will depend on its availability.
